Peruvian gastronomy is a treasure that combines tradition, history, and creativity. In Lima, the culinary capital of the Americas, you can immerse yourself in this richness through our hands-on cooking classes. You will learn to prepare emblematic dishes such as Ceviche, Causa Limeña, and the famous Pisco Sour, using fresh local ingredients.
No photograph can convey the excitement of cooking and tasting your own creations, nor the satisfaction of discovering ancestral culinary secrets. With our Cooking Classes in Lima, you will enjoy a practical and fun experience that blends learning, culture, and flavor, making every dish an unforgettable memory of your visit.
Your experience begins with pick-up from your hotel and a short trip to the traditional Surquillo Market. There, accompanied by your culinary guide, you will explore colorful aisles filled with exotic fruits, aromatic herbs, native Andean tubers, and fresh seafood. You will interact with local vendors and learn about the origin and cultural value of each ingredient you will later use.
After this flavorful introduction, we head to a nearby professional kitchen, where a local chef will guide you step-by-step in preparing a 3-course Peruvian meal. You will start with Ceviche, the country's most famous dish, marinated in lime juice and spices. Next, you will prepare Causa Limeña, a colorful layered creation made with yellow potatoes and avocado. Finally, you will learn to craft Peru's national cocktail: the Pisco Sour.
Once cooking is done, you will sit down to enjoy the delicious lunch you prepared, paired with your Pisco Sour. To finish on a sweet note, we will enjoy a traditional Peruvian dessert before taking you back to your hotel.
