Essential Cusco & Machu Picchu

Upon your arrival at Cusco airport, an Aura Andina representative will welcome you warmly and transfer you by private transport to your hotel. After dropping off your luggage and relaxing for a moment in the lobby, we will begin our tour of the fascinating Imperial City.

Our first stop will be the Cusco Cathedral, a jewel of colonial architecture, renowned for its valuable artworks belonging to the Cusco School. We will continue with a lunch at a restaurant located near the historic center, ideal for recharging your energy.

In the afternoon, we will visit the Qoricancha Sun Temple, where you will witness the fascinating fusion between Inca engineering and colonial architecture.

To close the day, we will stop at the panoramic viewpoints of the city, where you can enjoy spectacular views of Cusco. Finally, we will return to your hotel so you can rest.

After breakfast, we will depart for the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our first visit will be Sacsayhuaman, a magnificent archaeological site characterized by its massive stone blocks, unique wall architecture, and strategic location offering spectacular views.

Next, we head to Pisac, where we will visit the archaeological complex and the artisan market, famous for its ceramics made with traditional techniques passed down through generations. After enjoying this cultural experience, we will go to a restaurant to enjoy lunch and relax.

Then, we continue to Ollantaytambo, an authentic "living Inca city" that is still inhabited today. Here, you will learn about its fascinating history and tour its impressive archaeological complex. From here, depending on your reserved train schedule, we will board the tourist train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo).

Upon arrival, an Aura Andina representative will be waiting at the train station to escort you to your hotel, where you can rest and prepare for the most anticipated day of the trip.

The big day has arrived! We will pick you up to take you to the Consettur bus station for the 25-minute ascent to the entrance of the Machu Picchu Historical Sanctuary.

Once inside the citadel, you will enjoy a guided tour of approximately 2.5 hours, discovering the history, architecture, and mysteries of this World Wonder. After the tour, you will have free time to explore on your own and contemplate the magic of the site.

At the scheduled time, we will take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes. Once there, your guide will direct you to the restaurant for lunch and relaxation before boarding the return train to Ollantaytambo. There, private transport will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.
