Fly to Puerto Maldonado and take a canoe ride to your lodge on the Tambopata River, with lunch on board. In the afternoon and evening, enjoy jungle walks to observe its incredible wildlife.
After an early breakfast, explore Lake Condenado by canoe, spotting giant river otters and exotic birds. In the afternoon, you can hike through the forest or relax in a stream near the lodge.

We will explore iconic buildings such as the Gran Hotel Bolívar and the historic Plaza San Martín. Then, we continue wandering through its streets until we reach the Plaza Mayor, home to the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, and the Lima Cathedral. Later, we visit the San Francisco Monastery, distinguished by its baroque architecture and mysterious catacombs. Our final stop is the Santo Domingo Church, one of the city’s most important temples with a rich artistic and religious history linked to the Dominican Order. Our gastronomic experience starts from your hotel (we recommend a light breakfast so you can enjoy all the tastings). We will pick you up to take you to Barranco, one of Lima's most picturesque neighborhoods. There, an expert guide will introduce you to the history of this area, famous for its artistic heritage, colonial mansions, and colorful urban murals. Our first stop will be a traditional Barranco tavern, where you will learn to prepare Pisco Sour, the emblematic Peruvian cocktail. Then, you will enjoy an interactive cooking class guided by local chefs, where you will prepare and taste two of the country's most iconic dishes: Ceviche and Lomo Saltado. During the walking tour, we will explore markets, coffee shops, viewpoints, and cultural corners. At each stop, you will taste a careful selection of 15 Peruvian foods and drinks, including traditional starters, main courses, exotic drinks, and typical desserts. The tour ends with a sweet break in a cozy local coffee shop, where you will enjoy a Peruvian dessert accompanied by single-origin coffee. Today we will pick you up from your hotel to transfer you to the airport for your flight to Puerto Maldonado. It is important that the flight is in the morning and arrives before 1:00 p.m., as we will be waiting at the airport to take you to the lodge. The journey will be by canoe up the Tambopata River, where you can observe the transition from colonized areas to the virgin jungle. A box lunch will be provided on board. Upon arrival at the lodge, you will receive a welcome drink and meet the staff. In the afternoon, you will take an introductory walk through the "terra firma" forest (Trail 2), dominated by majestic Brazil nut and Dipteryx trees. On this tour, it is common to spot saddle-back tamarins, brown capuchins, agoutis, pacas, blue morpho butterflies, trogons, toucans, and many other birds. After dinner, you will enjoy a night walk to observe wildlife in its natural environment. Thanks to the reflection of light in their eyes, it will be possible to discover insects and nocturnal animals, which represent about 50% of the tropical rainforest life.

After an early breakfast, together with your nature guide, you will board the motorized canoe again for a short trip to the trailhead. From there, you will begin a morning of exploration on foot and by paddle canoe through the Lake Condenado system, a place rich in birds and aquatic life. A family of Giant River Otters inhabits the vicinity of the lake and is frequently seen. Among the birds you may observe are the rufescent tiger-heron, great egret, wattled jacana, hoatzin, and the noisy donacobius, among many other species. It is recommended to bring a hat and sunscreen, as there is no shade on the water. At noon, your guide will arrange lunch, and in the afternoon, you will have the option to explore the nearby forest (accompanied by your guide or on your own) or simply relax and cool off in the Gallocunca, a crystal-clear stream next to the lodge.

Today, like every day, we will start with a delicious breakfast, followed by our morning activities, which will depend on your flight departure time from Puerto Maldonado. Try to schedule your flight leaving around noon. If time permits, we will enjoy the morning observing wildlife, which is particularly active at this time; often the sounds of howler monkeys surround you. When you are ready, you will return to the airport for your next adventure. Once in Cusco, we will be waiting ready to take you to your hotel so you can rest and relax.

Our experience begins with a visit to the Cusco Cathedral, majestic for its Baroque style and indigenous worldview, expressed in its gold-plated altars and masterpieces of the Cusco School (including the 'Lord of Tremors'). Next, we head to the Qoricancha (Sun Temple), where you will be amazed by the perfectly carved Inca stone walls fused with the Dominican convent—a reflection of two different worlds meeting in Cusco's history. Today we visit the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We start with the Pisac ruins, enjoying the best views from this magnificent site, followed by the traditional Pisac Market, famous for its crafts and local people who still use ancestral techniques to produce their goods. Afterward, we head to a restaurant in Urubamba to recharge. We continue our visit to the archaeological center of Ollantaytambo, known for its legends and its living town that still preserves ancient streets and buildings. Depending on our train schedule, we will head to the station to board the train to Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes). We will be waiting there to take you to your hotel so you can rest and be full of energy for the long-awaited day.

Depending on your Machu Picchu ticket time, your guide will pick you up to take the Consettur bus to the entrance gate. The 25-minute ride offers a preview of the wonder you are about to discover. Once at the entrance of Machu Picchu, we begin our guided tour of approximately 2.5 hours. You will learn about the history, Andean worldview, construction techniques, and spiritual importance of this place. After the tour, you will have some free time to take photos and enjoy the view (approx. 30 mins). Then, you will take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes for lunch. Finally, you will board the return train to Ollantaytambo, where we will be waiting to drive you back to your hotel in Cusco. Thus concludes this unforgettable day at one of the Wonders of the World.
