The Peruvian Amazon is a unique destination combining lush rainforests, majestic rivers, and unparalleled biodiversity. With our curated tours, you will explore protected areas like the Tambopata National Reserve, observe exotic species in their natural habitat, and connect with local communities. Live an unforgettable Amazonian experience designed for every traveler.
Discover the Tambopata National Reserve, an Amazonian paradise filled with adventure and wildlife. Observe macaws, monkeys, giant otters, and caimans in the wild. Navigate winding rivers and venture deep into the jungle with our expertly designed itineraries.
During 4 days, you will explore the heart of the Tambopata National Reserve, starting your journey in Puerto Maldonado.
Day 1: Arrival and canoe transfer to the jungle lodge. Introduction to the rainforest and nocturnal wildlife observation.
Day 2 & 3: Excursions to Lake Condenado and jungle trails. Spot giant river otters, exotic birds, and caimans. Visit Lake Escondido and the famous Macaw Clay Licks, with time to relax in crystal-clear streams.
Day 4: Final morning activity and return to Puerto Maldonado for your flight to Cusco or Lima.
To visit the southern Amazon (Puerto Maldonado), the Yellow Fever vaccine is recommended, administered at least 10 days before your trip. While it is not always mandatory to show proof at the airport, it is an important preventive health measure.
The climate is hot and humid. Wear lightweight, light-colored cotton clothing (dark colors attract mosquitoes), long pants, and long-sleeved shirts for jungle hikes. Don't forget a good insect repellent, a hat, sunglasses, and a lightweight raincoat.
Most eco-lodges have limited electricity (often on a schedule), and internet/WiFi signal is scarce or non-existent deeper in the reserve. This destination is designed to disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with the sounds of nature.
You can visit year-round, but the dry season (May to October) is ideal as trails are less muddy and there are fewer mosquitoes. The rainy season (November to April) is great for spotting more birds and amphibians, and higher river levels make navigation easier.
