The day begins with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco. We will embark on a journey of approximately 2.5 hours in comfortable tourist transport to the community of Soraypampa, enjoying a box lunch breakfast on route.
Upon arriving at the trailhead, you will begin a hike of around 2 hours surrounded by spectacular Andean landscapes, until reaching the impressive Humantay Lake, famous for the intense turquoise color of its waters and the majestic surroundings of the Humantay and Salkantay peaks. Once at the top, you will have time to rest, admire nature, and capture unforgettable photos.
After the visit, we will begin the descent back to Soraypampa. From there, we will board our transport to enjoy a box lunch before returning comfortably to your hotel in Cusco.

It is considered moderate to high difficulty due to the altitude (4,200 m.a.s.l. / 13,780 ft). The hike takes between 1.5 and 2 hours on a steep uphill path. We recommend acclimating for at least 2 days in Cusco before visiting.
Yes. Local residents rent horses at the trailhead. The cost ranges from S/ 70 to S/ 90 PEN (cash only). Please note that the horse covers about 90% of the trail; you must hike the final steep section on foot.
No. Entering the water to swim is strictly prohibited, as it is a sacred water source and used for drinking by local communities.
