Lima City Tour

Today we begin our tour of the "City of Kings," learning about its history and evolution from pre-Hispanic times to the present day. We will explore iconic buildings such as the Gran Hotel Bolívar and the historic Plaza San Martín, continuing through the streets to the Plaza Mayor, home to the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, and the Lima Cathedral. Later, we visit the San Francisco Monastery, distinguished by its baroque architecture and mysterious catacombs. Our final stop is the Santo Domingo Church, one of the city’s most important temples with a rich artistic and religious history linked to the Dominican Order. After this enriching tour, we will take you back to your hotel to rest and recharge for our next adventures.

Flight to Puerto Maldonado & Welcome to the Jungle

Today we will pick you up from your hotel to transfer you to the airport for your flight to Puerto Maldonado. It is important that your flight is in the morning and arrives before 1:00 PM, as we will be waiting at the airport to take you to the lodge. The journey will be by canoe along the Tambopata River, where you can observe the transition from colonized and deforested areas to the virgin jungle. A box lunch will be provided on board. Upon arrival at the lodge, you will receive a welcome drink and meet the staff. In the afternoon, you will take an introductory walk through the "terra firma" forest (trail 2), dominated by majestic Brazil nut and Dipteryx trees. On this route, it is common to spot saddle-back tamarins, brown capuchins, agoutis, pacas, blue morpho butterflies, trogons, toucans, and many other birds. After dinner, you will enjoy a night walk to observe wildlife in its natural environment. Thanks to the reflection of light in their eyes, it is possible to spot insects and nocturnal animals, which represent about 50% of the rainforest's life.

Amazon Adventure (Tambopata Reserve)

After an early breakfast, you and your nature guide will board the motorized canoe again for a short ride to the trailhead. From there, you will begin a morning of exploration on foot and by paddle canoe through the Lake Condenado system, a place rich in bird and aquatic life. A family of giant river otters lives in the vicinity of the lake and is frequently seen. Among the birds you may observe are the rufescent tiger heron, the great egret, wattled jacanas, the hoatzin, and the noisy black-capped donacobius, among many other species. It is recommended to bring a hat and sunscreen, as there is no shade on the water. At noon, your guide will arrange lunch. In the afternoon, you will have the option to explore the nearby forest (accompanied by your guide or on your own) or simply relax and cool off in the Gallucunca, a crystal-clear stream next to the lodge.

Parrot Clay Lick & Jungle Exploration

After an early breakfast, we will take a short boat ride upriver to the trailhead. From there, a fascinating hike begins that will lead us to a hidden lake in the middle of the jungle, crossing crystal-clear streams and marshy terrain, surrounded by majestic Lupuna trees (Kapok), known as the "Kings of the Jungle." These giant trees create an imposing setting that makes this journey an unforgettable experience. Along the way, you can marvel at the diversity of flora and fauna that brings this unique ecosystem to life. Once at the lake, we will have the opportunity to spot the enigmatic black caiman and the imposing giant river otters, true treasures of the Amazon. Back at the lodge, a well-deserved lunch awaits, followed by an afternoon of rest where you can relax, enjoy the tranquility, or take a refreshing swim to end the day in perfect harmony with nature.

Farewell to the Amazon & Return to Lima

Today, like the other days, we will start with a delicious breakfast, followed by our morning activities. We will say goodbye to the Peruvian jungle before transferring you to the Puerto Maldonado airport for your flight to your next adventure (please try to schedule your flight leaving around noon). If time permits, we will enjoy the morning observing the wildlife, which is particularly active at this time. Once back in Lima, we will be waiting to take you to your hotel so you can rest and relax.

Gastronomic Experience in Lima

Our gastronomic experience starts from your hotel (we recommend a light breakfast so you can enjoy all the tastings). After breakfast, we will pick you up to take you to Barranco, one of Lima's most picturesque neighborhoods. There, an expert guide will introduce you to the history of this area, famous for its artistic heritage, colonial mansions, and colorful urban murals. Our first stop will be a traditional Barranco tavern, where you will learn to prepare Pisco Sour, the emblematic Peruvian cocktail. Then, you will enjoy an interactive cooking class guided by local chefs, where you will prepare and taste two of the country's most iconic dishes: Ceviche and Lomo Saltado. During the walking tour, we will explore markets, coffee shops, viewpoints, and cultural corners. At each stop, you will taste a careful selection of 15 Peruvian foods and drinks, including traditional starters, main courses, exotic drinks, and typical desserts. The tour ends with a sweet break in a cozy local coffee shop, where you will enjoy a Peruvian dessert accompanied by single-origin coffee. Paracas & Huacachina Oasis

Very early in the morning, we will leave Lima heading south to discover the magic of Paracas. There, we will board a boat to the Ballestas Islands, a marine sanctuary home to sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and birds that color the sky. During the journey, we will also admire the enigmatic Candelabra, a geoglyph traced in the desert sand whose origin remains a mystery. The tour lasts approximately two hours. Upon return, you will have some free time on the El Chaco boardwalk before continuing to the charming Huacachina Oasis, surrounded by majestic dunes. Here you can have lunch (not included) and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the place. In the afternoon, the adventure intensifies with an exciting dune buggy ride and the opportunity to slide down the sand practicing sandboarding. We will close the day contemplating an unforgettable sunset in the desert, before taking you to your hotel in Ica, with the experience of having lived a unique day between the sea and the dunes.

Nazca Lines Overflight & Bus to Arequipa

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at your hotel, your guide will pick you up to transfer you to the airfield, where one of the most fascinating experiences of the trip begins. During an approximately 40-minute overflight, you will be able to admire the enigmatic Nazca Lines, gigantic geoglyphs with animal shapes and geometric figures that continue to amaze the entire world. A wonder that can only be appreciated in its full magnitude from the sky. Then, we will continue with a 2-hour drive to Ica, a land of sun, vineyards, and traditions. Here we will pause for lunch (not included) and later visit a renowned local winery. For about an hour, you will tour its facilities, learn about the wine and Pisco production process, and of course, enjoy a tasting that will connect you with the viticultural essence of the region. The tour culminates with the visit to the winery, from where you will board the bus to Arequipa. We will be waiting for you there to take you to your hotel, closing a day full of culture, history, and unforgettable experiences.

Arequipa City Tour

Our tour begins with pick-up at your hotel to head towards Carmen Alto, a picturesque viewpoint offering views of the city and its green countryside. It is a perfect place to connect with nature and capture memorable photos. We will continue to the Yanahuara Viewpoint, famous for its elegant sillar (volcanic stone) arches and its unparalleled view of the volcanoes guarding Arequipa. The route continues to the heart of the city, where we will visit the Plaza de Armas and the imposing Arequipa Cathedral, built in volcanic stone and surrounded by colonial arches that enhance its beauty. Our next destination will be the majestic Santa Catalina Monastery, considered a "city within a city." Closed to the public for centuries, today it dazzles with its history, architecture, and colorful passageways. Then we will visit the Church of the Company of Jesus, a baroque jewel that houses the famous Sistine Chapel of Arequipa, whose murals painted by local artists are a true artistic treasure. Journey to the Colca Canyon

We will pick you up from your hotel in Arequipa to begin the journey to the Colca Canyon. Along the way, we will cross beautiful landscapes and make a stop at the Pampa Cañahuas Reserve, where you can see vicuñas and llamas in their natural habitat. Then, in Patahuasi, we will take a brief pause to enjoy the scenery and drink a mate or tea to help adapt to the altitude. We will continue to the Pampa de Tocra, a place full of vegetation and Andean birds. Afterward, we arrive at Patapampa, the highest point of the trip, from where you will see the Misti, Chachani, and Ampato volcanoes. Upon arrival in Chivay, we will enjoy a delicious lunch, and you will have time to rest. In the afternoon, you can relax in the La Calera Hot Springs, surrounded by mountains, and visit the Museum of the Collaguas to learn more about the valley's history. We will end the day with a visit to the Chivay craft market. Finally, we will stay in a comfortable hotel for the night.

Cruz del Condor & Travel to Puno

We will start the day very early by visiting the Cruz del Condor Viewpoint, one of the most incredible points of the trip. Here you can see the Andean Condor fly, the largest bird on the continent and a sacred symbol in the Andes. If you wish, you can take a short walk to further enjoy the canyon landscape. Then, we will visit the town of Yanque, known for its charming square and colonial-style church. We continue the tour through places full of history and unique landscapes such as Pinchollo, and the Wayrapunko and Antahuilque viewpoints, where you will see ancient terraces, natural lagoons, and hanging tombs—remains of ancient pre-Hispanic cultures. We will also pass through the town of Maca, famous for its church and traditional atmosphere. Upon returning to Chivay, we will enjoy a typical lunch (not included) and then embark on our journey to Puno, where we will drop you off at your hotel to rest.

Lake Titicaca: Uros & Amantani (Homestay)

Very early in the morning, we will pick you up at your hotel in Puno and take you to the port to begin the adventure on Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. We will take a boat to visit the Uros Floating Islands. These islands are made entirely of totora, a reed that grows in the lake. There, the inhabitants will show you how they live, how they build their houses, and share their stories. Afterward, we will navigate for about two and a half hours to reach Amantani Island. It is a quiet and very special place, where you will be welcomed by a local family who will host you in their home. You will share a typical lunch prepared with fresh local products. In the afternoon, if you wish, you can hike to the top of the island to visit the ancient temples of Pachatata or Pachamama. From there, you will see an incredible sunset over the lake—a truly magical moment. At nightfall, you will enjoy a homemade dinner with your host family. If you are up for it, you can participate in a small gathering with traditional music and dance, together with other travelers and island inhabitants. You will sleep in a simple house, surrounded by peace and nature.

Taquile Island & Return to Puno

After a peaceful night in Amantani, you will start the day with a breakfast prepared by your host family using local products. We will then say goodbye to them to continue our tour, taking the boat to Taquile Island, famous for its landscapes and the craftsmanship of its people. Upon arrival, we will walk for about 45 minutes along trails surrounded by nature. In the village, you will learn about the Taquileño way of life, especially their textile art, recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Before returning, you will have lunch at a local restaurant with a view of the lake. You can try typical dishes such as fresh trout and quinoa soup. Then, we will return by boat to Puno, where we will transfer you to your hotel to rest before your next adventure.

Note: Taquile requires a steep walk with steps; the altitude varies between 3,650 and 3,950 m.a.s.l., so caution is recommended.

Route of the Sun (Puno to Cusco)

Our journey through the Andes begins in Puno, departing towards the heart of the ancient Inca Empire. The first stop will be the Pukara Interpretation Center, where we will discover the legacy of one of the most influential pre-Inca cultures of the high plateau. We will continue the trip crossing the imposing La Raya Pass, at more than 4,300 m.a.s.l., which marks the border between Cusco and Puno. From here, we will enjoy an Andean scenario of majestic snow-capped peaks and vast high-Andean plains. Mid-route, we will stop to enjoy a buffet lunch at a local restaurant, with a selection of typical dishes made with fresh regional ingredients. The next visit will be the Raqchi archaeological complex, home to the great temple dedicated to the god Wiracocha. Our experience begins with a visit to the Cusco Cathedral, majestic for its Baroque style and indigenous worldview, expressed in its gold-plated altars and masterpieces of the Cusco School. Today will be our second day visiting the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We start with the Pisac ruins, enjoying the best views from this magnificent site, followed by a visit to the traditional Pisac Market. Afterward, we head to a restaurant in Urubamba to recharge with a delicious lunch. We continue our visit to the archaeological center of Ollantaytambo, known for its living town that still preserves ancient streets. Depending on our train schedule, we will head to the station to board the train to Machu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes). We will be waiting there to take you to your hotel so you can rest and be full of energy for the long-awaited day.

Machu Picchu: The Lost City of the Incas

Depending on your Machu Picchu ticket time, your guide will pick you up to take the Consettur bus to the entrance gate (approx. 25 min). Once at the entrance, we begin our guided tour of approximately 2.5 hours. You will learn about the history, Andean worldview, construction techniques, and spiritual importance of this place. After the guided tour, you will have some free time to take photos before taking the bus back down to Aguas Calientes for lunch. Finally, you will board the return train to Ollantaytambo, where we will be waiting to drive you back to your hotel in Cusco. Thus concludes this unforgettable day at one of the Wonders of the World.

Humantay Lake Trek

The day begins with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco. We will travel approximately 2.5 hours to Soraypampa, enjoying a box breakfast en route. Upon reaching the trailhead, you will begin a trek of around 2 hours surrounded by spectacular Andean landscapes, until reaching the impressive Humantay Lake, known for the intense turquoise color of its waters and the majestic surroundings of the Humantay and Salkantay snow-capped peaks.
